Abbey Collins
Varsity Head Coach
Abbey played volleyball throughout high school on both JV and Varsity teams with the Jaguars from 2015 – 2018. In which they had very competitive records and won silver in the very first HSPN East Coast Nationals tournament in 2018. In 2018 she led her team in blocks and she received the all tournament award for NCHEAC. She also played with various club teams during the off seasons including NCYVL, Triangle Volleyball Club , and Wilson Elite where she was again coached by Lindsey Sutton. Abbey was recruited by a college but decided to stay local where God called her to be. In that time she has assisted with occasional Jaguars practices and stays involved in the sport. Abbey is attending ECU and plans to become a Highschool teacher and volleyball coach. Her love for nurturing young talent and desire to encourage and inspire young athletes is what has led her to coaching. She is very excited to assistant coach this season with a head coach she has always look upto and with girls with so much potential.

Lydia Guy
Varsity Asst. Coach
Hello, my name is Lydia Guy, and I am 24 years old. I am currently a second-grade teacher with a deep passion for working with and educating young children.
I began playing volleyball at the age of 12 and continued throughout middle and high school. I started out as a defensive player and quickly developed a love for the game—particularly the thrill of diving and turning the momentum in favor of my team. What started as an extracurricular activity soon grew into a true passion.
Volleyball has taught me countless life lessons that continue to shape who I am today. It has also introduced me to lifelong friendships that have had a meaningful and lasting impact on my life.

Mike Smith
JV Gray Asst. Coach
Coach Mike has been an integral part of the Jaguars volleyball program for the past four seasons. With over 20 years of coaching experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the team. Throughout his career, he has successfully coached at various levels, earning respect for his ability to develop players both on and off the field. Coach Mike is enthusiastic about once again applying his extensive experience to help drive the continued success of the Jaguars program.

Rebekah Guy
JV Maroon Head Coach
Rebekah has an undeniable love for volleyball and the Jaguars! She has been around the Jaguars program since it was founded when she was around the age of 10. This was her first exposure to the sport and she hasn’t looked back since. She attended Appalachian State University from 2016-2020 receiving a BFA in Studio Art. After she moved back to Johnston County she was reconnected with the Jaguars. This will be her third season on the coaching
staff. In that time she has coached our Middle School and JV Maroon teams. It has since
become a passion of hers to not only help players develop skill, but to instill in them a love for
the game. She believes the game of volleyball is not only a physical competition with others and even oneself, but is a firm believer in its capability to develop unique and positive relationships with teammates and coaches that last a lifetime. She believes the Jaguars spirit is achieved through instilling this acronym into her players: as a Jaguar we look for… Joyful Attitudes, never Giving Up, Always Ready to Serve – Go JAGUARS!

Leah Fisher
Middle School Head Coach
Leah started playing Jaguars at the age of 14. Though she started playing at an older age than most, she quickly developed a love and passion for the sport. From then on, she played volleyball year-round. She continued to play Jaguars from 2018 to 2022. When the Jaguars were off-season, she played pickup with her sisters or played in Garner. She also played two seasons of 18U club. No matter how much fun she had on her other teams, the Jaguars were her home. After she graduated, Leah coached as a middle school assistant and returned this season to coach as head. Her goal as a Jaguars coach is to guide the players through the same lessons, experiences, and friendships she got to have for all those years. When she’s not playing or coaching volleyball, Leah works as a barista in a local coffee shop and takes classes at Wake Tech. Her plan is to transfer to a university and become a graphic designer.
